back 40 life giveaway

More giveaways!!
Here's the next:

This is a relatively new shop on etsy, so I thought it would be fun to help them get some exposure...plus I love the idea of the acryillic wall decals. Here is what Jodi says about her shop:

"I'm a SAH/WAHMom to Walker (2.5) and baby girl Cameron (6 months) - my husband and I have owned a construction business for the past 6 years - as the construction industry has slowed down, we started looking for other ways to provide for our family...especially ways that would further our desire to live a simple, more stress-free life. Then we discovered wall vinyls - I fell in love immediately...they allow me to be creative without being artistic...because artistic I am not! So far we've focused mostly on children & family designs, though we've recently branched out and started doing vinyls for weddings. I love working with customers to come up with exactly what they're looking for - that is part of what makes my job so much fun! If you don't see what you're looking for...just let me know - I'm always looking to add more fun & innovative designs!"

She is giving away one item from the Back 40 Life etsy shop (a $40 value.)

two-five cloth giveaway

Happy Friday!

Can you believe today is the last day of giveaways?
It's been fun...and today will be no different.

Today we are going to have THREE giveaways...starting off with:

I love everything about Two-Five Cloth
(In fact, I have one of their "bear hug" t shirts.)
The designs, the good they do...it's a great combination if you ask me!

Here's what Britney says about Two-Five Cloth:

"In February of 2008, Two-Five Cloth began as a dream to change people's lives. Whether you are a person who hasn't had food in days or one that will enjoy an expensive meal tonight, we want to change your life. Whether you've been abused and deeply hurt or grew up in the perfect home, you can change the world. Whether you're one of the 2 billion people that live on less than $2 a day or you that makes $2,000 a day, Two-Five can make a difference in you!

Two-Five Cloth is a company that not only helps those in need, but allows for everyone who joins to do the same. Through Two-Five, you can help bring food to the hungry, healing to the sick, comfort to the broken, a drink to the thirsty, and clothing to those without. You might wonder what would give everyone the opportunity to join with Two-Five and change lives. And, the answer is SHIRTS! Everyone wears shirts, and if you are an individual, organization, corporation, or anything in between, shirts are a part of your everyday life.

Every shirt from Two-Five Cloth changes someone's life. Join us in changing lives!"

and here's what she wants to giveaway:

"Two shirts...either one for you and one for your baby or husband or friend....or, heck, TWO for you! "

Here's what Pam says about her bags & her shop:

"I have been making and selling these diaper bags for over 27 years. I first made them for my own children and for gifts for my friends. They are truly "tried and true". Everyone who has one loves it. I sell by word of mouth and have sold them to people across the U.S. and in several foreign countries. 7.24.2009

pretty girl.

I mentioned before that I had a few projects in my head...
and finally got around to making one of them yesterday.

Here she is:

It's the same girl used in my logo {sans feather.}
Don't you love her?

Here's how I made her...

I started with a black ornate open back picture frame from Hobby Lobby.

I used a high gloss spray paint in a pretty turquoise color to completely cover the frame.

Then I printed out my silhouette image...

...and put it on top of white card stock to cut out.

I cut a piece of foam board to size & used spray adhesive to apply my Paper Source wrapping paper for the background.

The last step was to use spray adhesive to apply the silhouette to the background and then place into the painted frame.

She looks lovely, doesn't she?

The thing I love most about this project is that I could switch the print out so easily with another print and silhouette.

Maybe a pumpkin for halloween or a tree at christmas?

Happy Friday!
