Over the weekend I dog/house/cat sat for my parents while they were out of town.  Basically these were some of my besties over the weekend:

Not pictured Bella {she's a princess & does not like to be photographed} and Fats, my parent's cat.  Tucker LOVES my parents house...he loves playing with Izzy and Rudy {pictured above} and runs around the backyard as much as he can.  By the time we got home he barely moved from running around all weekend.

Yesterday, I went to a new place to get a {fabulous} pedicure.  It's called Polished & I had seen it featured in Allure & D magazines.  It was such a fun place & offers so many different types of mani/pedi services.  They carry their own line of nail polishes to use and even offer to store your own tools for a one time fee of $25 so you don't ever have to share. It's a little bit more expensive then the little nail shops but it's worth the treat.  And...they gave me a little bottle of matching polish {this one is called 'first class'} & a coupon for next time.  Gotta love that!

How do you like my new blog design?  It's a new layout that I really like and am going to start offering over at Fabulous K Creative.  I've been busy over there, which I am SO thankful for. :)

It all started with me innocently flipping through the Ballard Designs catalogue sitting on my parent's kitchen counter. After many "oohs" & "ahhs" I decided to click on the website. So much eye candy...I want it all. Here are some of my top picks:

Thanks to everyone for saying such nice things about my hair...I still {hate} it...but it's nice to hear that you don't think it's a total disaster!

I am dog sitting for my parents this weekend, which mean taking care of FOUR {4} dogs, including Tucker.  Whew.

I feel like I have been so busy lately, but have been getting nothing accomplished.  It's a beating. I am kind of in this weird place with work...it sucks.  I have been doing ok with my healthy eating...I want to start weight watchers, but there are some factors that are making that difficult.  I think I need the structure though.  Anyone wanna be my WW buddy?  Ha!

I can't believe it's almost May.  Wow.  I wish I had some fabulous vacation or something to look forward to.  I've got nothing.  We do have A LOT of family coming in for Memorial Day weekend...that should be fun!

OMGoodness...I almost forgot to mention...my hair guy chopped my hair off.  I went in for a trim.  I hate it.  He is my friend's husband, which means he charges me {almost} nothing, but I think that it's time to go to someone else that is AMAZING at cutting hair.  So...if you have someone in the Dallas area that is not super expensive, then leave me comment.  {Not that I will be getting my hair cut again anytime soon; lots of growing needs to happen.}  There is nothing worse than hating your hair.  

Well, this is not a very happy sounding post, is it?!!  Sorry bloggers, I gotta be real sometimes, and I am in a straight up funk.  At least I have a super cute puppy that is putting a smile on my face right now...

the road to skinny jeans...day one.

I started my healthy eating today!!  I am trying to decided whether to do a whole blog about it...I think it may be helpful to me (& possibly anyone else that reads it).  Before I make the decision, I need your help!

Happy Monday!  I have been so tired today...3 day weekends will do that to you, I guess.  I have a crazy busy week and work...give me strength.  

Our Easter was great!  Church, family, lunch, nap...good.  I think I want to try some other churches. Our family has been going to ours since I can remember (I even went to preschool there) but it's kind of an older congregation.  I am looking for somewhere that has a message that applies to my everyday life.  The current church we attend feels kind of like a scripture reading, and I like more of a story telling service.  You know, apply the scripture to life today type thing.  We'll see.

Oh!  I joined a gym.  HUGE STEP for me.  A little over a year ago, I was on a roll, working out and eating awesome. I lost about 30 pounds in less than 3 months.  Then I changed jobs & lost my {free} amazing gym membership {that was in my old office building}.  Needless to say, I fell off the wagon.  I have been thinking about what my get in shape plan would be...weight watchers, jenny craig, blah blah blah...but have decided on old fashion diet and exercise. Smaller portions, more fruits & veggies, water, lean protein and exercise.  I am very excited about my new gym...personal training is included in my membership.  Yay!  I'll keep you posted on how things go...I might even start a new blog {like I need another!!}  Ha.

Well, that's all...I am gonna go watch the hills now {I am kind of back on that bandwagon again.} Because no post if fun without pics...here is one of the very fabulous Mr. Tuck!  I ordered him a new doggy bed over the weekend & can't wait for it to get here.  I will post pics when it does.  Look @ that sweet little face.  Love him!  Have a great Tuesday!

If so, what do you think?  I signed up for an account a LONG time ago but have not used it/gotten into it.  I am {kinda} tired of all the shows that say, "follow us on twitter"...even our local weatherman has a twitter. Crazy! I get the updates thing...after all, I have a facebook...but do you need both?

I'm finished.

I finished the 'Twilight' series.  I can't believe I read all 4 {very looooong} books...and loved them.  You might recall that I started them after I saw the movie {I was slow to jump on the bandwagon}.  I am {kinda} sad that I am finished...I wish there were more books to read.  *sigh*

Has anyone read S.M.'s other book, "The Host"?  If so...what did you think?

Hey!!  I hope you are all having a fabulous Tuesday...even though it's been a bit chilly!  Can you believe Easter is this weekend?  Where did March go?

My weekend was good...Friday night I met Jason Whitten!! {Adorable Dallas Cowboys player in the picture to the left for those who don't know who he is.}  He and Tony Romo were at the Granada to see some of their offensive line's band {which was crazy, death metal, btw}. We were there for our friends, THE CAMPAIGN, and had no idea about the Cowboy player's band.  Tony Romo kept pretty hidden, but Jason Whitten was *SO NICE* and talked to us & took a picture with Mel & I.  It was fun! P.S. Romo was not with Jessica...but he was with lots of girls. Maybe I should call Perez or TMZ...  Ha! 

Saturday I ran errands with Robbie...pet supplies store, target, golf shop, etc. I was going to go out, but was waaaay to tired and was in bed by 10:30.  Sunday we went to church then my parents, sister, grandmother, Robbie & I all had lunch at Houstons.  Yum...love that place.

My cousin Jon is a Marine and is in Iraq right now, but he was able to be on the phone during delivery. This made me happy since he missed his daughter, Taylor's birth because of being in Iraq as well.  Luckily my aunt Connie (Jon's mom) was in the delivery room. Taylor is excited to be a big sister and Beth and Colt are doing well {even though Colt broke his collarbone during delivery...big boy..ouch!}  Colt's middle name is after my Grandfather, which I love. :)

One last thing...please say a prayer for my mom, dad & I.  We have been working on something BIG and are waiting to hear back on a crucial piece of it.  I am not ready to blog about it, but if all works out then I will as soon as I can.  So, please say a prayer that it all works out exactly how we want it to.  I am nervous and excited...and VERY hopeful!  Have a fabulous rest of the week! ♥

Oh my goodness!  We had such a good time at the Britney show last night!!  It was SO entertaining & fun!  I took so many pictures...241 to be exact...thanks to my super awesome new camera.  Seriously, I have never gotten such clear pictures at a concert before.
