I just finished it. New Moon. The 2nd book in the "Twilight" series.
When I first started hearing about "Twilight" (on blogs, in the schools I visit, on TV, in magazines), I was not that interested. The books looked LOOONG (they are) and I just did not care much.
Then, I saw the movie trailer. I was instantly intrigued. Not intrigued enough to read the books, but enough to see the movie. So I did. And I LOVED it. I immediately bought the first book after. I knew that there would be so many more details in the book, which there are. I got through the first book fast...but have struggled with "New Moon". It definitely got better towards the end, but it was a slow read for me. I guess it did it's job though, because it left me wanting more. So, tonight I am going to see the movie again (I want to see it now that I have read the book) and then will be buying the next book. I never thought I'd be hooked on these books...but I am. Does anyone else love them as much as I do? If so...have you read the except on Steph M's website for the next book: "Midnight Sun"? It's Edward's version of Twilight and it's SOOO good...can't wait!
Sorry to those of you that are not fans of the books...I am sure this was a boring post. To those that love the books, I wanna know...WHICH BOOK WAS YOUR FAVORITE?

I loved all four of the books. I think 1 and 4 are my favorites, but I also like 2. I felt like it developed the character of Bella a lot more.
ReplyDeletethey are so good! i love them all, but i have to agree with annalee that the first and the last are the best. i read the whole series in a week over christmas break! and the movie is great too. i can't wait for the next one, november can't come fast enough!
ReplyDeleteI think the first and last are my favorites, too. New Moon is definitely my least favorite. I'm excited about the movie, though...especially if Dakota Fanning ends up being Jane!
ReplyDeleteI read all four book in a little over a week. I blogged about it several times. It was a strange thing for me being so consumed by a book. I'm not usually like that. Unlike you, however, I hated the movie. I guess that's because I read the books first. A lot of people say New Moon was their least favorite but I loved it and related to it a lot. You will fly through the last two books. To say, I heart Twilight would be a major understatement.

I *heart* Twilight. I am a lil more than half way through New Moon. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest. THEN, I will see the movie. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was the first and third. I love them all though, and I did read the first 12 chapters for Midnight Sun and I really want her to release it! I loved reading Edwards perspective.
