vegas inspirations.

This was a really cool restaurant in our hotel, the MGM Grand.  I was pink, green and white with chocolate brown and stainless steel accents.  The outside had hot pink leopard print lighting on white walls.  Very chic.  And the mirrors!! I them!  What a cool design statement to make.  You can bet that I am now collecting silver ornate mirrors of all shapes and sizes! :)
This was an amazing arrangement at the Grand Spa in the MGM that we went to.  I love the orchids.

This was a super fabulous window display at Caesars.  I ♥ chandeliers, so this was right up my alley.  If I could have that as wallpaper in my house, I would!  :)
We also went to Planet Hollywood for the first time.  It's new and oh so fabulous.  Very glam. They had these massive light boxes that were filled with lit crystals.  The effect was amazing and so chic.  They also had really cool beaded curtains...all the little details are fabulous.  I can only imagine how glam the rooms are--will definitely stay there as some point.
I already knew that Vegas is fabulous.  Who knew it would be design inspiring, too?

"a woman reserves the right to change her mind...and her blog."

So...if you have been visiting me lately you know I have been "trying on" a lot of new blog looks.  Bare with me...I am trying to find the one that fits! :)

Hope you are all having a FABULOUS week!

Goodnight!

design star 3

Is anyone watching?  Any early favorites?
My favs so far are these two:

Matt
Mickey V.
{images=hgtv}

This year they are all professional designers, which is cool, but I liked the fact that people that are creative but not trade designers had a chance in the 2 previous season.  One problem...I find the judges to be really obnoxious! {except cynthia rowley...she is fabulous!}  They make me wish Bravo's TOP DESIGN would come back on!   What do you think?!!

Sidenote:  SHEAR GENIUS starts on Wednesday.  My hair guy knows a guy that is on it.  I ♥ that show.  Can't wait!  YAY

Have a fabulous week!

"...and they lived fabulously ever after."

I have not met one person who has seen the "Sex.and the.City" movie that did not LOVE it.  I am definitely in this group.  I loved every single minute.  So, you can imagine how trilled I was to get my hands on this:

The "Sex and the City--The Movie" BOOK!

It's filled with pages and pages of fabulousness.  The photos are amazing and it chronicals the entire movie with lots and lots of behind the scenes scoop.

I love the look book section which goes over every single outfit each of the fab 4 wore throughout the movie, complete with photographs and designers.

I also love the "sex marks the spot" chapter, which gives behind the scenes details of all the locations where the movie was shot.
This is a MUST buy for any true SATC fan!
 {It would even make a fabulous gift}
SO FABULOUS!

"a true friend remembers your birthday but not your age"

Last night we celebrated Robbie's birthday.  His actual birthday was on Monday but everyone got together last night.  It was a great time--especially for the birthday boy!  I got to hang out with fabulous friends, my sister, some of my fun co-workers.  Not a bad way to celebrate the longest day of the year!  :)

Vegas, baby!

OH MAN!!  We had such a fabulous time!! First of all...let me say... I absolutely positively Vegas! I think everything about it is fabulous. We went for my 'lil sister's 25th birthday. It was me, my sis Erin, my mom and her bestie, Diane. So...it was a girls trip--how fun! We left on Wednesday and got in around 3. We headed to our hotel, The MGM Grand, got settled and then went and ate a late lunch. After that we hit the slots! We were all exhausted and just hung around the MGM that night.

Thursday was my sister's birthday. We got up, went to breakfast and then headed to the MGM Grand Spa for Swedish massages. It was so wonderful and relaxing. Their spa is AMAZING! I loved it. After we got ready and then went over to Caesars for some shopping at the Forum Shops. My favorite store was TORY BURCH. Let's just say I will be visiting that store here way more! We had lunch at the Stage Deli and then headed over to the new PLANET HOLLYWOOD hotel and casino. I LOOOOVED it there! It's so fabulous & glamorous. It screamed FABULOUS K! I will definitely have to stay there sometime. We then headed back to the MGM to relax and get ready for dinner.

For Erin's birthday, we headed over to The Palms casino for dinner at N9ne Steakhouse. Before our reservation we stopped into Hart & Huntington, the tattoo shop from the show INKED. It was cool to see it in person (it's so small!) and the guys were so cool. Then we headed to 9 and had a delish dinner and yummy cocktails. Instead of a birthday cake, they brought Erin birthday smores. Such a cool idea and yummy too! We hung out at The Palms all night...so much fun!

Friday we went to breakfast and then to the pool. I sipped on pina coladas and read magazines....ahhh, so nice. We got ready and then headed to Paris and Bellagio. I loved watching the fountain show! We gambled and had lunch at Paris. Friday night my mom and Diane stayed at the MGM and Erin and I went out. We had so much fun and some good sisterly bonding time :)

So...that's all I am gonna tell you because "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas", right? :) I decided to put some of my favorite pics in the slide show below...so enjoy!

Thanks for the awesome trip girls! Vegas...I miss you already ;-)

Now the countdown begins for my trip to CABO for my 30th birthday!  WHOO HOO!  :)

I am thinking...

about going "private" with my blog. I know from the counter that people are reading my blog...I just don't know who. I realize that everyone that visits does not have time to comment {I am guilty of reading without commenting sometimes, myself} but I have a feeling there are people that stop by without EVER commenting. At least if I go "private" then I will know who is visiting for sure. Not only that...but I know there are fabulous people with fabulous blogs & life stories that I am not aware of, but would love to read myself--all because they either are too shy or too busy to say "hi". Any thoughts on this?

who knew?

IKEA has just about everything you need...and for a bargain. I grabbed a couple rolls of their wrapping paper {it was there and I needed some} and I was pleasantly surprised. For $2 a pop it was a good size and easy to wrap with. And the patterns and colors...super fabulous. Who knew?!! :)

BTW--I am back from Vegas--and it was so much fun! Stay tuned for pics. I will be posting about my trip soon!
