"when God closes a door, he opens a window."
LAID OFF. You read that right. I got laid off today. Even though I was unhappy with my job, it still stings. The staffing industry has been hit hard with the downturn of the economy and I did not have the tenure with the company to back me up and save me from cuts. I have so many feelings right now...disappointed, angry, worried and even relieved (that I never have to go back there). I am not sure what I am going to do. Please keep me in your thoughts--I need them right now. I will be exhausting all my resources looking for a job so if you hear of anything, let me know. I am sure this is all part of God's plan--all I have to do is have faith. Hopefully that faith will help me pay the bills :)

Definitely will pray that the light at the end of the tunnel is much brighter and more fulfilling that you could imagine.
ReplyDeleteOh girl- I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it sucks. I can't wait to see where you end up, though. You and your search will be in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteFab - I just wanted to give you a bit of encouragement...yes, I too was laid off about 3 weeks ago and I, just like you, didn't really enjoy my job...but yes, it still stinks! And Yes, the Lord will provide exactly what you need exactly when you need it so fix your eyes on Him!
ReplyDeletepraying for you and your next job...hoping it's as fabulous as you. thanks for the positive outlook even when the circumstances aren't always so cheery.
ReplyDeleteoh my word Kelly...I'm so sorry. You are right though, it is part of the plan! one of my favorite sayings right now is "worry ends where faith begins"...
ReplyDeleteI'll be thinking and praying for you!

Oh my goodness! Well, things always happen for a reason, but I know it's still hard. Praying another door opens quickly!
ReplyDeleteKelly, I am so sorry this happened to you! The economy is hurting people more and more everyday! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers! You are right, this is part of Gods plan even though the end is not in sight, there is a purpose for this event. Hang in there!
ReplyDeletecall me back asap. please and thanks. :)
ReplyDeleteThe same thing just happened to my mom, and I told her what you are already thinking-God's got a plan and he isn't surprised by this. Praying for you too!
ReplyDeleteI know that's tough, but I really feel that this is God showing you where He wants you to be. Have you ever considered turning your blog designing into a business? I know you've said before that you only want to do it for free because you love it. But I've seen other designs, and I definitely think yours are some of the best. And as someone who's never been lucky enough to win one of your contests, I can tell you personally that I would be happy to pay for your services! I know that's not necessarily something that could turn in to a full-time gig. But it might allow you to pursue something you are really passionate about on a less than full-time basis. Or give you some time to explore your interests and talents.
ReplyDeleteI know I don't know you, but I can tell from your blog that you are an amazingly talented, caring, fun person. I know you will find something wonderful!
Kelly - I am so bummed to hear that but praying that God will open a really big door that will lead you to a better place than your old job!!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you, Kelly. I will keep you and your job search in my prayers. Keep the faith!
